Protesters Sing Birthday Songs to Police Officer at Yad Mordechai Intersection

During the protest at the Yad Mordechai intersection, a moment of peace and connection between the parties. Major Eli Harosh’s parents came from Ashdod to surprise their son on his birthday, after he was forced to work following the protest events. When the demonstrators from both sides saw this – they burst into song in honor of his birthday.

Major Eli Harosh, a police officer at the Sderot station and a resident of Ashdod, celebrates his 28th birthday today. Following the events of the protest, Major Harosh had to work and he was stationed together with other policemen at the Yad Mordechai intersection, when the opponents of the reform and its supporters demonstrated there.

Major Harush’s parents decided to surprise him, and came all the way from Ashdod with a cake and balloons and surprised Major Harush – when the demonstrators on both sides of the protest saw this, they did not remain indifferent and began to sing him birthday songs.
