There is no targeted antiviral drug to suppress COVID-19. This was announced by the head physician of hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka Denis Protsenko in an interview with Naila Asker-zade on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1”.

“Unfortunately, we must admit the fact that there is no targeted antiviral treatment, an effective drug that would suppress the spread of the virus,” he said.

According to him, approaches and methods of treatment are changing, but we are talking about the treatment not of the virus itself, but of the complications caused by it.
