Chief Minister M.K.Stalin today inaugurated the newly constructed galleries with modern facilities at Chennai’s Chepakkam Cricket Ground. A new stand built at Chennai’s Chepakkam Cricket Ground has been named after the artist.
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the Rs 139 crore renovated Chennai Chepakkam Cricket Stadium and the new stand named after Artist Karunanidhi.
The event was attended by Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, former ICC Chairman Srinivasan, former Indian team captain and Chennai Super Kings captain Tony and Bravo.
In this situation, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin’s Twitter post about the opening ceremony of the Chepakkam Stadium has stated as follows:-
“I am honored to inaugurate the ‘Artist Stand-i’ named after the artist at the Chepakkam Stadium in the presence of his favorite cricketer, Dhoni. I consider this a fitting tribute to our epic leader who was an ardent fan of cricket,” he posted.
It is to be noted that the third ODI between India and Australia will be held on March 22 as the first match of the renovated Chepakkam stadium.
