It is in this sense that the families affected by the earthquake, armed with optimism but also unwavering determination, spare no effort to complete all the procedures related to the post-earthquake reconstruction operation, by turning to the relevant services and spaces set up for this purpose as is the case at the headquarters of the Caïdat of Mzouda-Zaouia Nahliya under the Cercle of Mejjat where all measures are taken so that the files and requests of the populations concerned are processed quickly and efficiently.

On the ground, more precisely in several douars under the territorial commune of Zaouia Nahliya, such as Douar Agoudar, the technical commissions, assisted by auxiliary authority agents, are continuing their tours with certainty, and under the supervision of local authorities, to assess the damage to the houses affected by the earthquake, to carry out their assessment and, where appropriate, to issue an opinion on the eligibility of owners to benefit from financial aid relating to reconstruction, granted to families whose homes have been totally or partially collapsed.

At the same time, the commission responsible for examining and processing requests made by citizens to benefit from financial aid is continuing its work at a high rate, by intensifying visits to assess damaged houses and meet with owners.

In an unheard-of symbiosis and exemplary solidarity, local authorities remain mobilized and do not skimp on resources, in application of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI advocating proximity to the citizen and attentive listening and satisfaction of his expectations, to ensure better support for the commissions in their actions. The aim is to offer them all the necessary support to enable them to carry out their missions.

Similarly, particular interest was given from the outset to facilitating procedures, in particular, for granting reconstruction permits to beneficiaries, with an emphasis on guaranteeing technical support and making available to beneficiaries model architectural plans respecting the specific features intrinsic to this area.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Ilyas Abbou, a topography technician, indicated that the deployment of his team in Douar Agoudar aims to carry out the necessary topographic surveys before the realization of the adequate construction plans, welcoming the support and monitoring carried out by the local authorities.

For their part, residents of the region highlighted the unwavering commitment of local authorities to enable the families concerned to benefit from financial aid, saying they were very satisfied and grateful for having benefited from financial aid of 2,500 DH monthly as well as the first tranche of direct financial aid for reconstruction (20,000 DH).

Likewise, they expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the high concern with which the Sovereign continues to surround the people affected by the earthquake, since the first hours after the occurrence of this natural disaster.
