In response to oral questions in the House of Representatives on the application of this law, the minister indicated that three thematic commissions were formed in accordance with the recommendations made during the meeting held on this subject under the chairmanship of the Head of Government.
The first commission, he said, is responsible for the legal implementation of the system of alternative penalties, the second will have the mission of developing regulatory texts, while the third will look into the selection of the contracting company. .
As part of the measures taken for the implementation of this law, training cycles were organized in partnership with the judicial authority for the benefit of magistrates, indicated the minister, noting that his department was keen to provide detailed explanations to all parties involved.
Offices were also created in the courts of first instance in order to better integrate new technologies into electronic bracelets, in addition to the development of a practical guide on alternative sentences, and the strengthening of communication with the government departments to identify areas of community service for those sentenced to alternative sentences, Ouahbi added.
Likewise, the ministry is considering the creation of an electronic portal including all this information, to allow judges to choose the appropriate community service depending on the place of residence of the convicted persons, he said.
