jpnn.comBIAK – PSBS Biak won four titles when they won the Pegadaian League 2 season 2023/2024.
Apart from bringing home the championship trophy, the squad nicknamed the Pacific Storm managed to win the title of fair play team, best player and top scorer.
The best player and top scorer was achieved by their mainstay striker Alexandro Perreira. The Brazilian striker successfully scored 19 goals while competing in League 2 this season.
“I am very happy because I was able to win with PSBS. Apart from that, I dedicate the top scorer title to all our supporters,” said Alex after the match.
Meanwhile, PSBS Manager Yan Permenas Mandenas said that achieving this achievement was a matter of pride for PSBS because it created new history for Papuan and Indonesian football.
“I give my appreciation to all the players, coaches and officials. Apart from that, the support of our sponsors, especially PT Nusa Tuna and others who have contributed so that we can win,” said Mandenas.
PSBS coach Regi Aditya said their target was achieved as expected. From the start, the team was determined to win the championship so much that they made many changes in the second round.
“We are very serious about preparing the team because our target is to qualify for League 1 and win the championship,” he said.
PSBS team captain Ruben Sanadi also couldn’t hide his happiness. He presented the championship title to all the people of Biak and Papua who had given full support to PSBS during the competition.
Apart from the championship trophy, PSBS managed to win the title of fair play team, best player and top scorer.
