PSG: after Draxler, end of the season for Kurzawa

by time news

Decidedly, a strange bad luck strikes the army of players loaned by Paris Saint-Germain this season. After Georginio Wijnaldum, who broke his tibia at the start of the season after arriving at Roma and has just returned to the field, after Julian Draxler, who has had ankle surgery in recent days and must already put an end to his season, Layvin Kurzawa also picked up a serious injury.

The 30-year-old left-back, on loan to Fulham (English Premier League) since this summer, suffered a major shock in training this Sunday. The diagnosis fell: rupture of an internal ligament of the left knee, and end of the season for the French international (13 selections). On his social networks, he shared this Monday a photo of his leg, held in a thick splint.

It is therefore already the end for Layvin Kurzawa of a 2022-23 exercise which was, in any case, very badly embarked. All in all, the PSG player has only played 6 games (391 minutes in total), 3 in the Premier League and 3 in the FA Cup. In the Cup, he distinguished himself by scoring two goals and delivering an assist. In the league, he was in the hierarchy behind the American international Antonee Robinson.
