PSG: Christophe Galtier will file a complaint against Julien Fournier, Daniel Riolo and Romain Molina

by time news

The defense of Christophe Galtier is becoming clearer. As discussed on Wednesday, the Paris Saint-Germain coach will take legal action as he challenges accusations of racism made against him by former OGC Nice director of football Julien Fournier.

This Thursday, his lawyer Me Olivier Martin tells us the reasons for this complaint. It will first target Julien Fournier as well as journalists Daniel Riolo and Romain Molina for acts of defamation, as well as for risk caused to others. Finally, a section against X for harassment and death threats against Christophe Galtier and his son will also be mentioned.

The complaint, still being drafted, will be filed with the Paris prosecutor’s office, specifies Me Olivier Martin. The Parisian coach has been in turmoil since the revelation of alleged racist remarks he allegedly made when he was stationed in Nice.

Galtier placed under personal protection

In an email written at the end of the season to Dave Brailsford, Ineos sports director, and revealed by RMC Sport on Tuesday evening and by independent journalist Romain Molina, Julien Fournier recounts a scene dating according to him from August 9, 2021. “It is arrived in my office and greeted his son who said to me: You can check with my father what I told you (the son and agent of Christophe Galtier had reported his father’s criticisms to Fournier). Once his agent/son left (…) I asked him if all this was true. He then answered me that yes and that I had to take into account the reality from the city and that indeed we could not have so many blacks and Muslims in the team. »

And to add: “He told me last night: I went to the restaurant and everyone ran into me saying we have a black team. (…) There was no sporting argument but only religious or skin color arguments. In the wake of these revelations, Galtier’s phone number was released on social media. Faced with the flood of threats, PSG has also decided to strengthen the protection around the technician and his family.
