It’s a new “titi” that PSG lets fly. As expected, the midfielder, champion of France in 2021-2022 with PSG, Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe, will not return to the capital after his loan to Eintracht Frankfurt. The German club had a mandatory purchase option which was activated, announced the 2022-2023 French champion through a press release this Tuesday morning. The clause was €6.5 million.
In the Bundesliga, the Frenchman has flourished this season. He was named one of the best “rookies” of the year, during which he played 28 games in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing an assist. Those stats could have been inflated further had he not been injured for two months. Ebimbe suffered from a torn syndesmotic ligament. Frankfurt finished seventh in the league and will not play in European competition next season.
He joined the PSG pre-training center at the age of 12 and signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2019.
At PSG he made 14 appearances in all competitions, without ever scoring. The Parisian club loaned him to Le Havre in 2019-2020, then to Dijon in 2020-2021.
