Beautiful or not beautiful? The debate is launched on the third jersey of PSG. The capital club has unveiled its third jersey that its players will wear for the first time this Tuesday evening against Borussia Dortmund for the first group match of the Champions League. “A jersey designed for major events,” explains PSG in a press release.
Visually, the jersey in dark tones, black and gray, presents its traditional plain stripe in the middle, surrounded by wild patterns. An “elephant print”, according to the capital club, “intimately linked to the Jumpman (the Air Jordan logo) throughout the world since its appearance in 1988”.
“Beautiful”, “magnificent”…
PSG, which is celebrating five years of collaboration with Jordan Brand, boasts a “singular and elegant color palette, highlighting sober gray and beige tones with applications of black and a few touches of orange”.
A jersey which is also part of an eco-responsible approach, again according to the club, with the use of 100% recycled polyester fabrics. Note that it is available in the club’s stores from this Tuesday, even before the start of the match against Borussia Dortmund, at the Parc des Princes.
Internet users seem to be won over by the tunic for the moment – “beautiful”, “magnificent”, “sublime” can we read in the comments under the PSG publication. The orange/gold flocking on the back is rather pleasing to the eye, but the whole remains very far from the traditional colors of the club.
