Monaco drew the strong PSG in the French League One. Having won the first three matches of the season by a huge margin, PSG escaped by drawing at home against the Paris club. Both teams scored one goal each in the match.
In the 20th minute of the match, Monaco took the lead through Kevin Volland’s goal. In the 70th minute, superstar Neymar scored the equalizing goal through a penalty. Renato Sanchez replaced the suspended Vitina in PSG’s first eleven.
Voland scored the rare chance he got beautifully into the net. After receiving the ball from Russian player Alexander Golovin, Voland ran into PSG’s defense and put it into the net with a long ground shot. When the first half was about to end, superstar Messi fired a long shot from outside the box and hit the Monaco post. The ball landed at Kylian Mbappe’s feet.
Then Mbappe’s shot hit the post and came back. Monaco defender Guillermo Maripan was awarded a penalty for fouling Neymar. The player took the ball to the goal with ease. The Brazilian’s fifth goal of the season. PSG players tried hard for the winning goal, but to no avail. Meanwhile, one of Hakimi’s shots hit the post and came back.
Defending champions PSG are leading the league with 10 points from four matches.
