Plagued by physical glitches in recent months, Lucas Hernandez still had to pass the obstacle of the medical examination before committing to Paris Saint-Germain. It’s done, successfully, this Friday. Victim of a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee, the 27-year-old French international defender (33 caps) passed a battery of tests during the day which did not detect any problem likely to derail the deal.
Barring an (unlikely) reversal of the situation, the left-hander will sign up for at least three seasons with the capital club in the coming hours. As we revealed Thursday on our site, an agreement in principle has been reached with Bayern Munich for a transfer which should amount to 40 million euros excluding bonuses. The 2018 world champion had given priority to PSG for several months.
