PSG in the running for the new Club World Cup in 2025

A new Club World Cup will be set up in June 2025, Fifa announced this Sunday. Competition in which Paris Saint-Germain and other European clubs such as Manchester City or Real Madrid are guaranteed to participate. The competition will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025, one year before the World Cup organized partly in the USA, and will bring together 32 teams divided into 8 groups. The group stage will be followed by a final stage which will begin with the round of 16.

The competition will bring together clubs from each of the six international confederations: CAF (Africa) will have four teams, like AFC (Asia) and Concacaf (North America), UEFA (Europe) will have twelve places, Conmebol ( South America) six and OFC (Oceania) one team. For Europe, four places were given for the winners of the Champions League 2021 (Chelsea), 2022 (Real Madrid), 2023 (Manchester City) and 2024.
