This week, Keylor Navas is busy on the other side of the world, far from France. The PSG goalkeeper is currently playing in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, in which he faces El Salvador with Costa Rica, this Sunday. However, his home in Ile-de-France still remains occupied: during his absence, he welcomes 30 Ukrainian refugees to his home, as his club confirmed to Parisian.
The Costa Rican has made his private cinema room available to his guests, which he has specially fitted out to accommodate beds. He also bought beds, clothes and food for the refugees. For this generous gesture, the former Real Madrid player, a very practicing Catholic, approached a neighborhood evangelist association in Barcelona, which had notably gone to Krakow during the month to help Ukrainians who had left their country because of the war.
Arrived in Paris in 2019, Navas previously played nine years in Spain, before exploding during his last five years in Madrid. He is currently going through a complicated period in Paris, blocked by the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma at the club, who took his place as holder.
