Lhe Paris Saint-Germain, without flavor or intensity, fell at the Parc des Princes against Rennes (2-0), carried by a great Steve Mandada in his cages, Sunday during the 28th day of Ligue 1. This time, Kylian Mbappé , captain, could not save Paris, despite his many appeals. He still went to greet the fans at the end of the match, unlike Leo Messi, who returned to the locker room at the final whistle.

Well taken by the Rennais, the French striker was not helped by the Argentinian, invisible during the match. He had received a few whistles when the composition of the match was announced. Almost non-existent in the second half and overwhelmed in defense – largely overhauled due to injuries to Marquinhos, Ramos and Kimpembe -, the Parisians were also dominated in the duels.

And when they approached the Rennes cages, Steve Mandanda made superb saves, especially on a curling shot from Marco Verratti (84th).

Rennes win again against Paris

In front, the Rennais were carried by a very good Kalimuendo (47th), omnipresent, and by Benjamin Bourigeaud, author of the decisive pass on the goal of Toko Ekambi (44th).

With a victory in Reims on Sunday evening, Olympique de Marseille could come back to within seven points of the Parisians. Lens is provisional second with nine points behind.

Already a winner in the first leg, Rennes have won their two confrontations with PSG this season.
