Marco Verratti will not appear in the PSG group opposed to Lens, this Saturday, for the match at the top of the 31st day of Ligue 1. All week, the midfielder had been spared after being hit in the knee against Lyon on April 2 (0-1).
Despite the precautions taken, the Italian international is officially forfeited. Victim of a muscle injury to the right hamstrings, Verratti was not at 100% of his means to be restored for this decisive meeting in the race for the title.
In the traditional PSG medical point, the capital club specifies that Verratti is continuing its recovery protocol. As for Timothée Pembélé, he is working indoors this Friday to strengthen his knee.
Verratti was already absent against Nice in the last match won by the French champions thanks to goals from Messi and Ramos (2-0). The date of his return is, for the moment, not mentioned by the Parisian club.
