PSG: the ultras demand a meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi

In the stands of the Parc des Princes, the anger ignited by the premature exit of Paris Saint-Germain in the knockout stages of the Champions League has not subsided. The press release published on social networks this Saturday by the Collectif Ultras Paris is the ultimate proof of this: if the supporters indicated that they would support the club until they obtained the title in Ligue 1, they also took the opportunity to have a rant against the management of the club, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in the lead.

The players, not “the only scapegoats”

“We have decided to maintain our support in the stands for the time being, the players not having the vocation to be the only scapegoats for a poorly constructed workforce, a sports policy without real direction, the compulsive purchase of flashy names without worrying about the balance of the team and the politics of a club where marketing seems to have taken precedence over the sportsman”, can we read in particular in the press release. Reproaches similar to those that the CUP had already formulated a year earlier, when it had demanded the resignation of the Parisian leaders after the exit of PSG in C1.

The ultras also asked to meet Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, to tell him directly about their demands. “We are asking for the umpteenth time to meet the president quickly in order to expose him orally the many problems that we have identified in and around the club, sporting and extra-sporting, for many years”, writes the CUP. Among the changes demanded, the collective advances the “permanent return of the Hechter jersey”, but above all the “overhaul of the Ticketplace system”, which would deprive the stadium of “a popular fringe of supporters for the benefit of tourists and other VIPs”.
