The capital club, in the hands of the Qataris, announced on Friday its intention to buy the largest sports arena in France. The announcement is also part of the standoff between PSG and the town hall of Paris for the Parc des Princes.

Will we one day see Mbappé, Neymar and Messi tread the lawn of the Stade de France in the same jersey of the Parisian club? PSG will be a candidate for the purchase of the largest sports arena in France, the price of which is set at around 600 million euros, said an internal source at the club on Friday.

Currently, the Stade de France, built to host the 1998 World Cup in Saint-Denis, in the north of Paris, belongs to the State and is managed by a consortium bringing together Vinci and Bouygues. But the thirty-year concession “expires in (June) 2025”recalled the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra in an interview with JDD published on March 5. After that date, she explained that the government did not want “close no door”with nevertheless “two great options” which would emerge: “A new dealership or a sale.”

In conflict with the city of Paris, which does not seem to want to give him the Parc des Princes in which he evolves, the PSG would therefore be ready to move to the north of the capital. Unless the announcement of the club’s desire to buy the Stade de France is only a way to put pressure on the municipality.
