Here is at least one Parisian coach fixed for next season. This Friday morning, PSG announced in a press release the extension of Zoumana Camara’s contract as head coach of the U19 team, for an additional season. The technician, whom certain rumors announced on the departure, is now linked to the club of the capital until June 30, 2024.

Defender of the Rouge et Bleu between 2007 and 2015, Zoumana Camara first became, once his career ended, assistant coach of the Paris Saint-Germain first team, said the press release.

Since 2021, he has been the head coach of the club’s U19 team. This season, Zoumana Camara secured first place in the Youth League group stage, before losing on penalties in the round of 16 to Dortmund. In the French championship, the Parisian U19s are still in the race to win the title at the end of the season.

“We are delighted to continue the adventure with Zoumana Camara. Since taking over our U19 team, he has perfectly transmitted his knowledge and experience of the highest level to our young players. His work and that of his staff have made it possible to develop the talents of our Training Center. We are convinced that he will continue to develop them, both individually and collectively, to make them elite footballers,” explained Luca Cattani, Football Academy Director.

“I am very happy to extend for an additional season and to continue the work done for two years now with the U19 team. Being at the head of the club’s second team is a real responsibility in my eyes. We have very talented players in the Academy. My goal is to ensure their development and guide them to reach the highest level possible, while continuing to enrich my experience and my skills as a coach,” added Zoumana Camara.
