jpnn.com – PSM Makassar finally reacted regarding the penalty for deducting points following the incident of 12 players during the match against Barito Putera in Week 16 of Liga 1 2024/25, last Sunday (22/12/2024).

The oldest club in Indonesia officially submitted an appeal to the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis).

Previously, PSM received a penalty of three points deduction and were declared to have lost 0-3 to Barito Putera.

PSM actually won 3-2 over Barito Putera in the match which was held at the Batakan Stadium, East Kalimantan.

This reduction of three points made PSM plunge to 12th place in the League 1 standings with 24 points, after previously having 27 points.

PSM Manager Muhammad Nur Fajrin explained that the club had submitted an appeal to the PSSI Komdis.

Fajrin assessed that there was negligence from the referee which resulted in 12 PSM players being on the field.

“We have submitted an appeal this morning to the PSSI Komdis. The email has been sent in accordance with articles 120, 121, 122 concerning the Komdis,” said Nur Fajrin.
