jpnn.comPADANG – The re-vote (PSU) for members of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) for West Sumatra (Sumbar) was held today, Saturday (13/7).

Chairman of the General Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja directly reviewed the implementation of the DPD RI PSU in a number of areas in West Sumatra.

Bagja said that one of the focuses of the DPD RI PSU supervision was the potential for money politics.

According to Bagja, Bawaslu and its regional staff have been instructed to provide maximum supervision, so that the DPD RI PSU is not tarnished by money politics.

“We are monitoring the implementation of the DPD RI PSU in the cities of Padang, Pariaman and Bukittinggi,” said Bagja in Padang, West Sumatra, Saturday (13/7).

Bagja said that the results of monitoring in Padang City, for the time being, the implementation of the DPD RI PSU was safe and still under control.

Acting Mayor of Padang Andree Algamar, who accompanied the Chairman of Bawaslu RI Rahmat Bagja in conducting the inspection, said that there were a number of polling stations (TPS) in Padang City that were visited, including TPS 15, Purus Village, West Padang District, and TPS 56, Parupuk Tabing Village, Koto Tangah District.

Algamar said that this monitoring was carried out in order to ensure that the implementation of the PSU was safe, orderly and conducive, as well as a form of support from the local city government to the KPU and Bawaslu as the organizers of the DPD-RI PSU.
