To date, the company has raised $ 153 million. The current fundraiser was completed at a $ 800 million valuation.

Do not be distracted by weaknesses

Companies go through quite a few changes during their lifetime. From switching between systems, purchasing different services, mergers, buying other companies, and maybe even some desired exit. Each such step usually develops the company, but also makes it difficult for it to keep track of all its assets. Those who do keep a close eye on your assets, are the hackers, who will be happy to find weaknesses in assets that you have already forgotten exist, and jump in to visit your organization.

CyCognito’s system exposes these hidden assets, and helps the organization understand if and how they can be used by hackers on Judgment Day. The company knows not only to identify the assets but also to prioritize them for the company, and enable the closure of the loopholes. Also, the company is trying to focus on the POLaR or Path of Least Resistance area, that is, finding the easiest route to the loophole that hackers are usually looking for.

The company’s CEO, Rob Gur-Zeev, previously explained in a conversation with Giktiim that the company’s prioritization mechanism summarizes about 10-30 critical issues that could come at a heavy price, instead of other scanners that provide 5,000 different insights that do not allow security teams to focus on their mission. Gur-Ze’ev also claimed that in installations performed by CyCognito at other companies, information security managers claimed that they did not know about 70% of the systems and assets exposed by the company.

According to the company, over the past year it has increased its revenue by 400% compared to last year, and significantly increased its customers as well. Its most notable customers include Colgate-Palmolive and Tesco.

“According to industry analysts, most of the intrusions into organizations occur because of servers, applications and cloud servers that are unknown or not well managed by the organization’s cyber protection teams,” said Rob Gur-Zeev, the company’s CEO. “Attackers are smart and look for weaknesses in the organization, and so it turns out that organizations sometimes invest hundreds of millions of dollars in cyber protection, and are hacked because of a server they are not even aware of but allows access to the network and their information and customers. Therefore, we have developed an intelligent platform that autonomously maps the attack surface of the organization and identifies vulnerabilities that allow hacking into the organization as soon as attackers find it. “

CyCognito was founded in 2017 by Rob Gur-Zeev (CEO) and Dima Putchin (CTO), and currently employs about 140 people – about 90 of them in the development center in Israel and the rest in Palo Alto.
