A child who, together with his father, was attacked by malefactors in New Moscow, could receive psychological trauma. Psychologist Ekaterina Verchenova said this on November 7, assessing the possible consequences of the incident in Novye Vatutinki on the child’s psyche.

“In this case, the child faced psychological trauma and the fact that the threat was inflicted on a loved one. We even see that the child tried to escape because he lacks the resources to cope with this situation: he does not know how to protect himself and how to protect a loved one. That is, the child has horror in front of his eyes, ”the psychologist told REN TV.

Verchenova noted that in this case it is necessary to provide the child with psychological assistance. The boy also needs the help of his family, who could tell what happened and calm him down.

“In this case, it is very important for the child to see that there will be punishments, that this situation will not remain unresolved. The child needs to experience the feeling of completeness, that everything is in order with his loved ones, that everything is in order with him and no threat occurs in his life, ”the psychologist said.

On the evening of November 4, in Novaya Moscow, a group of people beat up two men, one of whom was carrying a child.

On November 5, the injured man said one of the attackers hit his four-year-old son on the cheek, while the other was holding a knife-like object. One of the detainees said that the child’s father himself initiated the conflict.

The case was transferred to the territorial subdivision of the main investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow. The department noted that the actions of the attackers threatened the life and health of a four-year-old boy.

The police identified all those involved in the attack. Also, employees of the metropolitan police presented a video with explanations of the participants in the fight.

On November 5, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded to change the article of the case about the fight from “Hooliganism” to “Attempted Murder.”
