Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha has responded to allegations by women wrestlers that the federation president sexually exploited them. PT Usha informed through his Twitter handle that as the President of the Indian Olympic Association, he raised the issue of wrestlers among the members. She has made it clear that the welfare of athletes is the first priority of the Indian Olympic Association. The Olympian added that athletes are requested to come forward and share their problems.

A thorough investigation will be conducted to ensure justice to the players. PT Usha stated that the Indian Olympic Association has decided to form a special committee to deal with such situations in future and take decisions.

Today, the discussion held by the wrestlers with the Ministry of Sports failed. Then the protest against the accused Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Saran Singh became stronger. The wrestlers are protesting, including Olympic medalists Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat. They want the dissolution of the Wrestling Federation of India. The protesters had revealed that women wrestlers from states like Kerala and Maharashtra had also had a bad experience.
