PTP accuses Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of “compacting with corruption”

by time news

The PTP – Portuguese Labor Party is outraged by the fact that the President of the Republic did not call elections for Madeira, accusing him of “comprising with corruption and stealing taxpayers’ money”.

Through a statement sent to the newsroom, Raquel Coelho argued that Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa “gave the blessing for the PSD to continue stealing from Madeirans”.

The PTP leader understands that Marcelo, “using the excuse of the deadlines to call elections, cleverly devised a clever way out for his party companions to continue governing Madeira, even after being caught red-handed”.

“There are two standards”, reinforced Raquel Coelho, having mentioned that for “much less in the Republic he asked for elections and here there is no need”.
