Broadband Support Allocated in 2023

In a recent decision, clear broadband support has been allocated for 2023, totaling just over SEK 1.22 billion. Thirteen projects in Norrland will benefit from the 50 million kroner that was left over, benefiting a total of 410 buildings.

The final decision, known as the national pot, was made on November 22nd. This decision saw 13 projects in Norrland receive a share of SEK 49,500,000 for a total of 410 buildings. With a total of SEK 1,222,000,000 available for broadband support in 2023, a total of SEK 1,221,071,216 was allocated. The remaining SEK 928,784 will be returned to the treasury.

In total, 327 projects have been awarded broadband support, benefiting 16,495 buildings. The national allocation decision was made on November 22, 2023.

On November 15, a decision was made to allocate broadband support for 96 percent of the total funding. This means that 96 percent of the SEK 1.22 billion in broadband support for 2023 has now been distributed. The final statistics for the entire allocation will be published next week.

The “national pot” refers to the additional funding that becomes available when there is money left over in an advertising area. All projects that have not yet been granted support will then compete nationally for that money.
