jpnn.comJAKARTA – Chair of the PDI Perjuangan DPP, Puan Maharani, said that her political party is solid, even though it is currently facing various dynamics ahead of the implementation of the VI Congress.
“We are solid, we believe God willing that Congress is the highest process of a party’s internal process, not just PDI Perjuangan,” said Puan, at the PDIP 52nd Anniversary event in South Jakarta, Friday (10/1).
Later, former PDIP cadre Effendi Simbolon maneuvered by pushing Megawati Soekarnoputri to resign from the position of party chairman.
Effendi said this when responding to the suspect status of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, who was considered to be Megawati’s responsibility.
Effendi delivered a statement asking Megawati to resign after meeting the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia and former PDIP cadre Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Puan responded to Effendi’s statement by asking all parties not to speculate about the replacement of the PDIP Chairman.
Putri Megawati said that other parties can appreciate and respect the internal processes that exist in a party.
“So, we are following the process in the PDI-P Party. The process is internal to Congress,” he said.
