The Public Ministry published a recommendation charging Porto Murtinho City Hall to improve the structure of the municipality’s Guardianship Council. Among the notices are the installation of computers and Sipia training (Information System for Children and Adolescents) for counselors.

Mayor Nelson Cintra Ribeiro (PSDB) has 30 days to make the improvements, from receipt of the notice. The publication was already made in the Official Gazette on Monday (18) and dated Friday (15).

In response, Cintra said that he is not yet aware of the request and that he will check with the legal department, but made it clear that the agency continues to provide assistance as normal.

Computers equipped with internet are required, in addition to purchasing a printer, preferably multifunctional, to make copies and scan documents.

After the recommendation has been respected, the Public Prosecutor’s Office must be notified about the perfect functioning of the municipal Guardianship Council.

Failure to comply within the stipulated deadline will result in the adoption of legal measures applicable to the species.

Election – Voting to elect a guardianship councilor took place on October 1st, across the state. In Porto Murtinho, 1.5 thousand people voted. The counselors will take office in January of next year.
