The JTP bus fleet used in public transport in Bragança Paulista (SP) began this Friday, May 5, 2023, to undergo an inspection carried out by the city’s Mobility Department.
Shortly after midnight, the agents arrived at the company’s garage to check the conservation, comfort and safety conditions of the fleet.
“The inspection of the bus fleet at any time is the prerogative of the City Hall, which we are exercising regardless of time and place, to guarantee the comfort and safety of public transport users”highlighted the Municipal Secretary of Urban Mobility, Rogério Crantschaninov in a press release.
The situation of brakes, doors, seats, mechanics, stop signs, among many other points are analyzed.
During inspections, if problems are found, JTP is notified and given a deadline to take action to improve or resolve the detected non-compliance.
For this task, the participation of passengers is important, since the complaints received reach the inspection teams, which have been intensifying these inspections.
CONSTANT SURVEILLANCE
As shown the Transport Diary On the 22nd of March, Bragança City Hall announced that it is intensifying the supervision of the activities of the company JTP Transportes, concessionaire of public transport services in the municipality, with the objective of identifying problems related to the maintenance and conservation of vehicles, causes of various complaints received by the Department of Urban Mobility.
According to the city hall, the folder takes into account the complaints of the population sent through the Municipal Ombudsman, by telephone or even forwarded by councilors and the press.
Still on the first day of inspections, JTP Transportes was fined for presenting only two of the four buses requested by the Urban Mobility team.
