Publication of the 2024 annual report of the Payment Deadlines Observatory
Rabat – The Ministry of Economy and Finance, which chairs the Payment Deadlines Observatory (ODP), published on Friday the 2024 annual report of this observatory which presents an exhaustive assessment of companies’ practices in terms of payment deadlines.
This report, the result of collaboration between the partners concerned, is structured in three parts, indicates a press release from the Directorate of Public Enterprises and Privatization (DEPP).
Thus, the first part deals with the evolution of payment deadlines in the public sector, namely the State, local authorities and public establishments and enterprises (EEP) and the second presents the evolution of payment deadlines in the private sector as analyzed, respectively, by Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the same source said.
Concerning the third part, drawn up by the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), it is devoted to the first assessment of the deployment of the sanctions mechanism set up by law n°69-21.
This report, the fourth of its kind after those published on May 9, 2021, October 14, 2022 and November 21, 2023, constitutes an essential tool for consolidating the achievements and including the dynamic of continuous improvement of payment deadlines, both for the public and private sectors, in the process of reviving the national economy and improving the business climate.
