In its editorial, the quarterly review (July-September 2024) returns to an unprecedented crisis that affects the very essence of life on earth: Water Stress, affirming that in Morocco, this reality is manifesting itself in a glaring manner.
The devastating effects of drought and water scarcity are being felt, endangering food security and public health, notes the editorialist, recalling, in this sense, the commitment of the Royal Gendarmerie in terms of protection, water management and monitoring to combat any illegal activity that could compromise the availability of national water resources, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
These are, in fact, the efforts undertaken by the Royal Gendarmerie in terms of training and skills development of its personnel, in addition to the role of air resources in public security, in particular the contribution and potential that they provide to the security forces in terms of surveillance, prevention and intervention.
The “Royal Activities” section includes the Speech of His Majesty King Mohammed VI addressed to the Nation on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the Throne of His glorious Ancestors, mentioning a reception chaired by His Majesty, in M’diq, on the occasion of the Throne Feast.
In the same section, this issue looks back at the oath-taking ceremonies of officers who graduated from the major military and paramilitary schools and the pledging of allegiance, presided over by His Majesty in Tetouan.
In the “Decryption” section, the magazine recalls a ceremony organized on May 14 at the Royal Gendarmerie Air Group in Salé, for the celebration of the 68th anniversary of the creation of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
It also highlights the actions of the Royal Gendarmerie in terms of international cooperation, in particular the meeting between Army Corps General Mohammed Haramou and the Director General of the French National Gendarmerie, in addition to the visit of a delegation from the Niger National Gendarmerie.
It also involves the graduation ceremony of the 70th class of student gendarmes, Operation Marhaba 2024 and the participation of the musical squadron of the Royal Gendarmerie in the first International Military Music Festival.
In its “Zoom” section, the quarterly review looks at the Royal Gendarmerie’s air training and instruction subgroup (SGIFA), which is constantly evolving and perfecting its approaches to provide quality training to all Royal Gendarmerie air and non-air personnel.
Under the title “The design of skills-based training programs”, the Dossier of the 81st issue of the journal sheds light on the in-depth reform of its training system launched in 2023 and which is part of the strategic planning of anticipation.
A strategic project that perfectly meets the requirements and imperatives, the subject of the Royal Directives, to the extent that this overhaul was precisely carried out and redesigned to support the socio-economic development of the country and to be in tune with the technological and security paradigms capable of meeting current and future challenges.
Furthermore, in the section “The Big Interview” with the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, he insists on the role of today’s University which is to “train our young people to gain resilience to be in phase with the profound transformations at work”.
The “Strategy” section includes, for its part, an article entitled “The military school’s defense academy faces the challenges of strategic thinking”, pointing out the multiplication of war zones, tension and destabilization, accompanied by significant developments in the war phenomenon, thus calling for a strategy that must integrate cybernetic, informational and spatial dimensions into its calculations.
In its “Focus”, the publication focuses in particular on the Regional Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization Plans launched by the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) and which constitute a major lever for energy transformation in Morocco.
