The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is conducting the Senior Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament in Visakhapatnam. The Puducherry team is in Group ‘C’. This group consists of Mumbai, Vidarbha, Bengal, Chandigarh, Baroda and Saurashtra teams.
Puducherry faced a strong Mumbai team in today’s match. After winning the toss and batting first, the Puducherry team scored 124 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Yuvashree, the opener of the Puduvai team, scored 57 runs (2 sixes and 6 fours in 57 balls). Asha and Bhaktidamore scored 28 and 25 runs respectively. The Mumbai team continued to play and scored only 118 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. By this Puducherry team won the ‘Thrill’ by 6 runs. Sonal bowled 4 overs and took 4 wickets giving just 9 runs.
