Carles Puigdemont has ruled on the agreement on voting for the Presidency of the Congress Bureau, stressing that the vote in favor of the PSOE candidate for the Presidency is not linked to the investiture. “The investiture is exactly where he was the day after the elections,” said the Catalan.

The Presidency of the Congress Bureau has been achieved by the PSOE candidate, Francina Armengol, with an absolute majority of 178 votes. Although the vote is secret, by means of a ballot deposited in a ballot box, the pronouncements of the different parties in recent days suggest that Armengol has received the support of the 121 deputies from the PSOE, 31 from Sumar, seven from ERC, seven from Junts, six from Bildu, five from the PNV and one from the BNG.
