Pulled teeth with pliers, injured private parts;  Tamilnadu IPS officer transferred

Chennai: Complaints that an IPS officer in Tamil Nadu brutally beat up the accused in police custody. The complaint was lodged against an IPS officer in Tirunelveli. Assistant Superintendent of Police Balveer Singh brutally tortured the arrested accused.

The complaint is that he brutally beat up those who were taken into custody and pulled out the teeth of the accused with cutting pliers and then inflicted serious injuries on their private parts. It is also reported that the condition of one of the beaten victims is critical.

Balveer Singh beat up those who were taken into custody in petty cases, including breaking the CCTV camera. One of the victims revealed these things. A journalist posted a video of one of the victims on Twitter.

“We were brought to the Ambai police station for questioning. Then ASP Balveer Singh came to the station in uniform. He then changed his uniform into trousers and gloves. Then we were ushered into a room. Other police officers were asked to tie our hands. Then they hit our teeth with stones. Then he took a cutting pliers and pulled out the teeth,’ said one of the victims.

Apart from this, they said that Balveer Singh stuffed stones inside their mouths and hit them on the cheeks.

“As soon as the stones were inserted into the mouth, the mouth was cut and started bleeding. Still he didn’t give up. Then asked to remove our underwear. Later he was beaten in the private parts. “My two brothers were seriously injured in their private parts,” said the accused, who was beaten up.

Meanwhile Tirunelveli Collector KP Karthikeyan had reached Ambasamudra on Monday. The statement of the victims was recorded.

Many people came out in protest against police beatings. Subsequently the accused Balveer Singh has been transferred without posting. It is reported that a DSP has been given charge of Ambasamudram division.
