Bracell, one of the global leaders in the production of special dissolving pulp, has been expanding its planted area in Mato Grosso do Sul. In the last four years, the fiber producer of the Asian group RGE (Royal Golden Eagle), with a factory in the interior of São Paulo and industrial activity also in Bahia, has already totaled R$ 15 billion in investment in the country, an amount that should be increased by another R$ 5 billion.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the company has cultivated areas since 2021, with planting, harvesting and wood transport. The company has administrative headquarters in Campo Grande and forest operations in Água Clara, where it has installed an operational unit, with 50 thousand hectares of eucalyptus plantations, to support the field teams, and Brasilândia. Currently, it has 400 direct employees in Mato Grosso do Sul and around 1,000 outsourced workers.

The total investment of BRL 20 billion was dealt with in a report by Valor Econômico, which talks about the numbers of the factory installed in September 2021 in Lençóis Paulista (SP) and the expansion of business.

In a note, the company said that Bracell “has been expanding its forestry operations” in the state. “Currently, the company has several job positions in the state, contributing to local development,” he said, without detailing values ​​and schedule.

The head of Semadesc (State Secretariat for the Environment, Development, Science, Technology and Innovation), Jaime Verruck, said that investment in MS will only be in the forestry base, generating another 500 direct jobs, in addition to the existing ones. In the State, the re-bidding of Malha Oeste is also monitored, as it is a transport option, connecting the factory to the Pederneiras (SP) terminal.

According to Valor, throughout the country, the company generates around 10,000 direct and third-party jobs in industrial, forestry and logistics activities in São Paulo, Bahia and Mato Grosso do Sul.
