At an art gallery in Pune, the exhibition was halted due to a ‘nude’ feature in the photos.
Sunil Mad, in-charge of Balkandarv Rang Mandir, located in the Art Gallery in Pune, said, “Photographer Akshay Mali should have informed the management in advance about the theme of the exhibition. We will not allow any exhibition that offends anyone’s feelings. Upon learning of the theme, the photographer was asked to remove the images. ”
The three-day exhibition of photos of Akshay Mali started on Friday, but it was stopped on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, photographer Akshay Mali said, “The theme of the exhibition was ‘IT’S ME’ which broke the boundaries of art. The exhibition also featured nude photos of me and other naturally clicked models. When I booked, I did not tell the management about the nude theme. I booked the slot for a photo exhibition. ”
