Puneet Rajkumar, popularly known as Power Star in Kannada cinema, died of a heart attack on September 29. His death came as a shock not only to the Kannada film industry but also to the people of Karnataka. No one could digest his death at the age of 46. Puneet Rajkumar’s body was laid to rest near the graves of his father and actor Rajkumar and mother Parvathammal at the Kandirava Studio in Bangalore.
Puneet Rajkumar’s respect for him increased as news of his assistance to the poor and common people and his expenditure on the education of poor children continued to spread during his lifetime. Not only his fans but also the general public visit his memorial in Bangalore daily to pay their respects. In recognition of him, Puneet Rajkumar was awarded the Karnataka Ratna, the highest award of the Government of Karnataka.
According to reports, the producers are planning to release actor Puneet Rajkumar’s last film James in theaters on his first birthday on March 17, 2022. The producers have announced that they will be releasing a special poster on January 26th at 11.11am. Director Chetan Kumar shared the announcement and wrote, “#Bolobolojames (sic)”.

In order to honor the late actor, celebrities and distributors in Kannada cinema have decided to release James’ film separately. So no new Kannada films will be released in the state for a week. That means there will be a separate release of James from March 17th to March 23rd.
