The Punjab Chief Minister announced that next year the government will introduce the largest farmer package worth Rs 400 billion, the government will provide interest-free loans of Rs 1.5 lakh and cheap machinery to farmers to increase agricultural production. Wheat prices are being kept under control in Punjab so that people can get cheap bread.
