At the Rupprecht School, more than 1,530 euros were raised for people in need in Syria and Turkey.
The school family of the Rupprecht School followed the devastating earthquakes in Syria and Turkey with great dismay. The school management, teachers, parents and students therefore organized a fundraising campaign together. The parents baked cakes, which the students could eat for a donation. A total of over 1530 euros was collected.
Mayor Andreas Starke accepted the donation check from the hands of the students and Vice President Annette Schilling. Starke thanked the students and everyone involved for the great campaign: “With your commitment, you are helping us from Bamberg to help people in need in Syria and Turkey.”
The donations are distributed to the aid organizations working in Syria and Turkey via the city of Bamberg’s donation account “Bamberg helps earthquake victims”.
