If Pushkar Singh Tami wants to continue as Chief Minister, he has to contest in any Assembly constituency within the next 6 months and become an MLA.

The BJP has won 47 seats in the Uttarakhand assembly elections and retained power. Despite the BJP gaining a simple majority, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Tami lost in the Kadima constituency in which he contested. However, he was elected as the leader (chief minister) of the BJP assembly party.

Following this, the inauguration ceremony of the new government was held today. Pushkar Singh Tami was inaugurated as the Chief Minister at the function. He was accompanied by 8 ministers. They were administered the oath of office by Governor Gurmeet Singh.

It is noteworthy that if Pushkar Singh Tami wants to continue as Chief Minister, he has to contest in any Assembly constituency within the next 6 months and become an MLA.
