Though the film was released amidst the hype of the Omigron infection, it has carved out another level of collections. Directed by Telugu director Sukumar, the film is said to have grossed Rs 40 crore worldwide on its first day at the box office alone.
It has been reported that Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ has surpassed the box office of his previous film ‘Ala Vaikuntha Puramulu’. Prior to this, the film starring Allu Arjun was released on the first day and was seen as the highest grossing film at Rs 36.83 crore.
But ‘Pushpa’, which was released yesterday, has surpassed this record and ‘Pushpa’ has the distinction of being the highest grossing film of Allu Arjun’s career till date.
‘Pushpa’ has grossed Rs 30 crore in Telangana and Andhra theaters. Since the dub was released in several languages including Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil, Rs. 5 crore is said to have been collected.
Pushpa has grossed a total of Rs 40 crore since day one. Similarly, the film has set another record by grossing Rs 11.44 crore in the Nizam area.
It has been rumored that the film will garner unexpected box office receipts on the weekends as it has received rave reviews from day one.
Despite this, Pushpa’s film has received some negative reviews. It is said that the film ran only to some extent there because it was a Telugu film and was not well received in other languages. Fans are also lamenting that the second part was not interesting enough.
