No Telugu film in recent times has generated so much anticipation in various languages. Although director Bandretti Sukumar’s previous films ‘Rangastalam’ and ‘Uppenna’ caused a stir here, they did not cause such a stir. “Pushpa: The Rise” is the first part of the upcoming two-part Pushpa film directed by Sukumar.
Pushparaj alias Pushparaj is a worker who illegally cuts sheep in the Seshachalam forest along the Tamil Nadu border. But soon Pushpa succeeds in spraying the trees in the eyes of the police and transporting them safely to the port. People like Konda Reddy and Mangalam Seenu, who were already in the business, are plotting against him.
Meanwhile, the police are also making efforts to nab Pushpa. Panveer Singh Shekhawat is a newcomer to the industry, having failed some. The film ends with a partial story of how Pushpa confronts the enemies and emerging police officers in the sheep smuggling industry.
With a small graphics short film, the opening of the film is awesome. That interest is further enhanced when it is understood that the film is set against the backdrop of sheep smuggling. But over time, Sukumar begins to move the film, relying only on the spice features of Telugu cinemas.
Pushpa, who is an ordinary worker, can easily understand what the story is moving towards when he stares at the villains for the first time. Continuing on a path that does not disappoint those who have guessed like that, soon begins to tire.
The film heats up again when Faqat Bazil enters as the new police officer at the end of the film.
Although the film is about sheep smuggling, the director does not bother to show that it is actually cut and smuggled.
Allu Arjun, who is familiar to Tamil fans through his film ‘Vaikundapuram’, has an almost superhero role in this film. Whoever resists will make the start. Usually motorbikes and Tata Sumo vehicles fly in the movies. Allu Arjun makes Larry fly in this movie. Not only fight scenes, but other scenes as well.
When Allu gives voice to Arjun in Tamil, the speaker speaks in the tone of a tongue injury. Thus, many times it is difficult to understand what he is talking about.
Regular heroine role for heroine Rashmika Mandana. Forced to stretch his neck after a song to the man who is harassing him by chasing him. He has done it better. But, it could have done it a little sooner.
It was originally planned to be made as a single part and then split into two parts as is evident in the screenplay of the film. The film runs for three hours with the villains united in the film, each with background stories and very, very long fight scenes to increase the length of the film.
Oh Did you say …
The song ‘Sami … Sami’ and ‘O Solriya’ have already become popular with the music of Devi Sri Prasad. When you look at the screen, the song ‘Sami Sami’ comes to mind.
Twenty of the most admirable in the film is the cinematography of Mirosla Kuba Prosek. Mirosla has dazzling forests, fight scenes and songs.
For this first part of the Pushpa film, the anticipation created by the film turns out to be boring in the middle of the film. The scenes that follow Fahad Basil’s introduction make this boredom go away and sit upright again. We need to see what they are going to do in the second part.
