Tel Aviv: Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had assured him that he would not assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Bennett has been at the forefront of mediation efforts since the beginning of the Ukraine conflict. In connection with this, Bennett met with Putin in Moscow. At the same time, Bennett’s efforts to end the war made no difference.
Bennett said he asked Putin about his approach to Zelensky during the meeting. Bennett claimed that when asked if there was a plan to kill him, Putin replied that there was no plan to kill Zelensky. Zelensky was then informed about this in a phone call. “I had a meeting with Putin. He said he would not kill you,” Bennett explained to Zelensky during the phone conversation. Zelensky asked if you are 100% sure that Putin will not kill me.
During the talks, Bennett revealed that Putin assured Ukraine that he would withdraw from the war if Zelensky abandoned his decision to join NATO. Meanwhile, Russia has not responded to Bennett’s revelation. But the reaction of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, is that Putin is a trained thief and can never be trusted.
