A grand public meeting was held in Moscow to mark the eighth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

As the Russian war in Ukraine continues for the 24th day, a huge public meeting is being held in Moscow.

The meeting is said to mark the eighth anniversary of Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea by war.

Moscow police say there were more than 2 lakh people in and around the Luzhniki ground where the public meeting took place.

Protests against Russian President Vladimir Putin have erupted in various countries over the war in Ukraine. It is alleged that the ambassador provided the information to Hussein.

Authorities have ordered students and government employees from government educational institutions to attend.

Addressing the gathering, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Russian troops serving in the war in Ukraine. He accused his enemies in Ukraine of being neo-Nazis.

He noted the need for war on Ukraine to prevent further genocide. An art show featuring Russian patriotic songs was also held on the public concourse stage.
