Putin called the maximum economic freedom of business a response to the crisis

President Vladimir Putin said that in the current situation, maximum economic freedom for people who do business could be the way out. A number of decisions have already been made, the government is working on expanding support measures, the president noted.

“I believe that in the conditions we are in now, there can be only one way out – maximum economic freedom for people who are engaged in business,” Mr. Putin said at a meeting with women flight crews of Russian airlines.

“The government is working to expand these support measures, including the removal of various restrictions on entrepreneurial activity,” Vladimir Putin said. A number of decisions have already been made here, he noted.

After the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, the West began to impose new sanctions. They touched on a number of areas, including business and the economy. Restrictive measures were introduced against large Russian banks and companies. It was decided to disconnect some banks from the international system of interbank payments SWIFT.

Against this background, the authorities thought about measures to support business. The government has already extended until July the reimbursement program for small and medium-sized businesses that use the fast payment system. 500 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
