Speaking in the US Congress on Russia’s attack on Ukraine, US President Joe Biden said Putin had miscalculated how the West would react if it invaded Ukraine.
Biden made the remarks while addressing the ‘State of the Union’ in the US Congress on Tuesday night.
He said Putin was solely responsible for the invasion of Ukraine.
Putin said Putin would “have to pay a heavy price for this in the long run”.
Biden said that if dictators did not pay the price for their occupation, they would cause further chaos, adding that “freedom-loving nations” would stand with the United States when it launched a pre-planned, unprovoked war.
Biden accused the Russian regime of being run by big bosses and corrupt officials who stole billions from this violent regime. Biden also said that Russia, along with its European allies, would seize luxury ships, jets and luxury goods.
“We are coming towards your profit earned in the wrong way,” he said. The United States and the European Union have already released a list of which Russian bigwigs have been banned.
In his speech, he asserted that “freedom from tyranny will always prevail.”
Democrats and Republicans applauded Biden’s call for a united front and support for Ukraine.
Biden delivered this ‘State of the Union’ speech as Americans, tired of the epidemic, struggled with inflation.
Biden added: “Putin’s war is unplanned and unprovoked.
“He thought NATO and the West would not react. And he thought he could divide us,” he said.
He lost his reputation among Americans because of Biden’s chaotic decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan last year.
“Putin miscalculated. We were ready,” Biden said.
He also announced that Russian flights would soon be banned from US airspace.
European countries and Canada have already banned flights from Russia from entering their airspace.
He also said that Russian-owned or Russian-operated aircraft would be banned from US airspace.
Some flights from Russia to the United States have already been canceled.
The United States and its allies have imposed various sanctions on Russia’s economy and financial institutions and against Putin. In his speech, Putin differed from his previous views on further sanctions, saying he did not know what would happen next.
US President Biden also welcomed Ukrainian Ambassador Kozana Markarova to the event. Everyone stood up and applauded the Ukrainian ambassador, who was seated in the VIPs area of Gil Biden, the first lady of the United States.
Prior to his speech, he spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky about the US assistance to Russia, six days after its invasion of Ukraine.
“Each of us must stand up and send a clear signal to Ukraine and the world,” Biden said.
The two parties of the opposite poles, the United States, together applauded and cheered for Ukraine. Prior to Biden’s arrival, many waved Ukraine’s national flags.
According to a RealClearPolitics poll averaging just 40.6% of Americans are pleased with Biden’s performance. In this context, Biden delivered the State of the Union address.
After talking about the invasion of Ukraine, his biggest foreign policy crisis, he faced a number of domestic problems, including epidemics, rising prices and rising crime.
The U.S. unemployment rate has fallen to 4 percent, while inflation is at a 40-year high.
He promised a plan to “create a better America.”
Increasing domestic production of cars and semiconductors and rebuilding the country’s roads and bridges is the best way to deal with rising prices, Biden said.
Opinion polls suggest that Americans are not happy with the way Python has treated the corona.
When Biden delivered the speech, the delegates, several months later, found it unnecessary to wear a mask.
“Last year the corona infection divided us. Finally, this year we reunited,” Biden said.
More than 2,000 people die every day in the United States today, according to the latest data. This is much higher than the rest of the world.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds responded to Biden’s speech on behalf of the Republicans.
He said President Biden had paid for the United States in the late ’70s with “inflation hitting families, violent crimes and the Soviet army trying to redraw the world map.”
