The Russian President, Vladimir Putinsaid this Monday in his meeting in Moscow with the Chinese president Xi Jinping that he is willing to address the peace proposal made by Beijing to end the conflict with Ukraine.
“We are always open to negotiations. We will certainly talk about all these issues, including your initiatives, which we treat with respect,” Putin told Xi, assuring that Moscow and Beijing have “many goals in common.”
In response to Putin’s statements, the Chinese president stated that there are “close relations” between the two countries.
Xi arrived in Moscow around 1:00 p.m. local time and after being received by the Kremlin delegation, he said his visit will give “new impetus” to “healthy and stable” relations between the two countries.
He also referred to the Russians as “good neighbors” and described them as “reliable partners.” As reported by the Chinese government, the stay will last until Wednesday.
This Sunday, the President of Russia toured the city of Mariupol, a territory that was conquered by the militia of his country after the invasion launched on February 24, 2022.
