Putin urged to work to resolve the issue of emergency housing

by time news

President Vladimir Putin called the situation with emergency housing the main problematic point in the central regions of Russia and urged to address this issue. He stated this at a meeting with the Governor of the Tula Region Alexei Dyumin.

“Indeed, one of the topics that you have just touched upon is traditionally acute. But this has been the situation with emergency housing for decades. For the central regions of the country, this is probably the most problematic point, where it is necessary to deal with this systematically, ”said the head of state (quoted by TASS).

In August, Vladimir Putin proposed a new program for resettlement of housing recognized as hazardous as of January 1, 2021. For this, he proposed to allocate 45 billion rubles.

On Tuesday, September 14, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree that should expedite the resettlement of citizens from hazardous housing. The document envisages amending the procedure for granting subsidies to the fund for assisting the reform of housing and communal services, which directs financing to the regions.

According to Mr. Mishustin, about 130 thousand Russians received new housing last year. Thus, the resettlement of dilapidated housing is going ahead of schedule, he said.
