According to Ushakov, Moscow hopes that at today’s meeting Putin will discuss the situation with Russian peacekeepers with Aliyev.

“Various options for the possible future use of our contingent will be considered, including the possible return of Karabakh Armenians to their place of residence, which they left after certain events in September”– Ushakov emphasized.

Since September 19 operations, Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh have dismantled six observation posts and 15 temporary observation posts in Askaran, Shusha, Khojavand and Aghdara regions. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

The peacekeepers report that the works on the restoration of electricity and gas supply in settlements in Karabakh are ongoing.

An agreement was reached on the disarmament of the armed groups after the official Baku declared that it carried out “local anti-terrorist measures” in Karabakh on September 19-20. After that, the separatist regime announced its release, and the flow of Armenians from Karabakh to Armenia began. Although the Armenian officials called it “ethnic cleansing” and “deportation”, Azerbaijan announced a reintegration plan for Karabakh Armenians and urged them not to leave their homes.
