Putin’s war on war: Parliament unanimously approves deployment of troops

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has obtained permission to deploy troops. Parliament has approved Putin’s decision to deploy Russian troops outside the country. At the request of the President, permission to deploy troops was obtained after a vote in Parliament.

In the election, 153 Russian senators came out in support of Putin. Reports indicate that not a single member of parliament voted against the decision. Russia’s Foreign Ministry has said it will not send troops to eastern Ukraine for the time being. However he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Putin’s government.

During the Federation Council meeting, Deputy Defense Minister Nicole Panko said that the talks with Ukraine had failed and that Ukraine had taken the path of violence and bloodshed. He noted that Ukraine had no choice but to take military action against Russia.
